Question

What are some strange/unusual but delicious sandwiches?

Answer

Any kind of sandwich but with different kinds of bread slices on top and bottom. Eg. white+wheat, ciabatta+sourdough, bagel+kaiser roll, English crustless tea-sandwich-white+pumpernickel...

The filling should be strong enough to dominate both breads, otherwise it will be an annoying bread-vs.-bread experiment. If the filling is strong enough, it becomes an A-B test of which bread goes better with the given filling. If the sandwich is an A-x-B sandwich, you'll notice the A-x dominating the B,x or vice-versa and have a winner. That's the magic of nonlinear taste combinations. If [math]f(A,x)= \lambda(Ax)^2[/math] and [math]f(B,x)=\gamma(B,x)^3[/math], where f is a function that evaluates taste, for some [math]\lambda, \gamma[/math] such that the functions cross-over at some point before the entire sandwich is eaten, the A-x taste will dominate for a tiny bite, but the B-x taste will dominate overall.

This is a pure BS answer. I completely made it up and have never tried it. But in theory it sounds like a great idea.
